Our Doctors

Dr. Jason Bodnar

Dr. Jason Bodnar received his undergrad at Pittsburg University and went on to Nova Southeastern University for his degree in Dental Medicine. He has been with Cataloochee Dental Group since 2005. He practices at all four of our awesome locations in his tireless pursuit of building a life resume that will even have the gravedigger sad to see him go. Dr. Bodnar is energetic and very active. He is an avid runner, competing in many marathons including the Boston Marathon. You can catch him in any of our locations injecting his passion for helping others get the smile they deserve.

Dr. Nathan Neuhart

Dr. Nathan Neuhart was born in Texas, but has spent most of his life in Georgia. He received his undergraduate degree in 2017 from the Georgia Institute of Technology. In 2021, Dr. Neuhart graduated from the Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University. He spent 2 years in private practice in Opelika, AL and 1 year in Columbus, GA. In his free time, Dr. Neuhart enjoys spending time with his wife and puppy Max, as well as reading, hiking, traveling and playing games. Dr. Neuhart is very excited to join Cataloochee Dental Group in Franklin!

Our Team

Carly

Insurance Coordinator, Carly Henry, joined our team March 9, 2020. Carly went to Gwinnett Dental Career Academy in Georgia where she received her Dental Assisting Certification, as well as her x-ray certification in both Georgia and North Carolina. On the weekends, you can find Carly spending time with her daughter, Blakely, and husband, Cameron. Carly chose this profession because she grew up around the dental environment with her grandfather being a general dentist and orthodontist

Carol

Registered Dental Hygienist Carol Justice, was hired in January of 2001 with Dr. Maize. Carol graduated from Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College in 1988, where she received her Associates degree in Dental Hygiene, as well as her x-ray certification. Carol has two children, a daughter named Laney, and a son named Trevor. Both of Carols children are currently enrolled at Western Carolina University. Carol has one pet dog named, Scout! On her free time, you can find Carol camping, cooking, working out, lifting weights, and camping with both friends and family! Carol’s favorite part about her career is the relationship that she has built with her patients of over 34 years!

Cara

Registered Dental Hygienist Cara Ward, joined our team in the year of 2020. Cara attended Athens Technical College where she received an Associates Degree as well as x-ray certification in Dental Hygiene. Cara has been a dental hygienist for over nineteen years now and hasn’t looked back since. Cara is a native to Macon County where she enjoys mountain living.

Angelina

Dental Assistant, Angelina Arrowood, joined our team in the Spring of 2021. Angelina, received her Dental Assisting Certificate from the University of Georgia and later pursued her x-ray certification in North Carolina. On the weekends you can find Angelina anywhere under the sun. She enjoys hiking, kayaking, traveling, and snowboarding. Angelina stated that she truly enjoys being a dental assistant, but mainly because she loves seeing her patients gain confidence from start to finish of their treatment!

Julie

Registered Dental Hygienist Julie Atherton, joined our team in February of 2022. Julie began her dental career in a front desk position which transitioned into assisting, and then eventually hygiene. Julie graduated from AAS Manor College in Jenkintown in 2009, where she received her degree in Dental Hygiene. When growing up, Julie found the lady who leaned over her at the dentist office “cool”, which inspired her to pursue in dentistry. Julie has one daughter named Kalina, and one step-daughter named Karlee. On Julies free time, you can find her hiking, traveling, gardening, or exploring with her husband.

Krista

Dental Assistant Krista Whitmire, joined our team in May of 2022. Krista graduated from Dental Careers Institute in 2017 where she received her Dental Assisting Certification, as well as her x-ray certification. On her free time, you can find Krista camping, working cattle, or ridings 5x5’s with her son and husband.

Kellsie

Kellsie is our practice manager here at Cataloochee Dental Group. Kellsie has been employee of Cataloochee dental group since 2020. Kellsie lives in Hayesville with her husband Aaron and daughter Everly and her three dogs. Outside of the office you will find Kellsie on the lake with her family. Kellsie has many hobbies outside of work and is a jack of all trades. Kellsie is not only our practice manager but also an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant. Prior to working in the dental field, Kellsie worked in the medical field. Kellsie then pursued her dental assassinating certification and has enjoyed caring for her patients since. Kellsie is known around the office as the denture queen, and takes pride in helping and adjusting edentulous patients. Kellsie always has a smile on her face and is happy to answer any questions you may have. Upcoming events Kellsie is looking forward to is her daughters third birthday and younger brother’s wedding.

Lindsey

Social Media Manager/Front Desk Receptionist, Lindsey Moss, joined our team on July 26th of 2021. Lindsey graduated from Accelerated Dental Assisting Academy in 2021, where she then received her Dental Assisting Certification and X-ray certification in both North Carolina and Georgia. In March of 2022, Lindsey got married to her high school sweetheart. Lindsey has one miniature golden doodle dog named, Murphy! During her free-time, you can find Lindsey anywhere outdoors doing everything from hiking to enjoying time on the lake while spending time with her friends and family!
