Our Doctors

Dr. Jason Bodnar

Dr. Jason Bodnar received his undergrad at Pittsburg University and went on to Nova Southeastern University for his degree in Dental Medicine. He has been with Cataloochee Dental Group since 2005. He practices at all four of our awesome locations in his tireless pursuit of building a life resume that will even have the gravedigger sad to see him go. Dr. Bodnar is energetic and very active. He is an avid runner, competing in many marathons including the Boston Marathon. You can catch him in any of our locations injecting his passion for helping others get the smile they deserve.

Dr. Fite

Dr. Chrislyn Fite received her undergraduate degree from Marian University of Indianapolis, where she played college golf. She is a graduate of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston. Dr. Fite practices evidence-based dentistry and focuses on providing comprehensive care for her patients. When Dr. Fite is not in the dental office she is chasing after her son and hanging out with her best friend “aka,” her husband, Logan. They love spending time outside and traveling to new places.

Our Team

Kamea

Meet Kamea Sneed, CDG-Cherokee's front office coordinator. Kamea is a native to Cherokee and has been with us for six years. She enjoys adventurous activities, spending time with family, traveling with her significant other and his son. Overall enjoys life and having fun!

Rachel

Meet one of our team’s dental hygienists Rachel Liner!  Rachel was born and raised in Haywood County and has worked for CDG-Cherokee for over a decade as well. Eleven years ago, she received her Certified Dental Assisting license and A.S. degree in Dental Hygiene from AB-Tech. If Rachel isn’t on a horse riding the trails with her mom, you can find her spending time with her daughter. She also enjoys a good book, working out, or mountain bike riding.

Samantha

Meet Samantha Mathews, one of CDG-Cherokee's dental assistants/front office coordinators. She has been with us for two years. Samantha and her husband have a son and are expecting baby boy number two in the fall. Samantha loves spending time with her family as she is native to Swain County.

Amanda

Amanda is one of our Dental Assistants. She has been an assistant for over 15 years. She takes pride in creating a relationship with her patients to make them feel more comfortable in the chair.  Amanda is married and has two kids she loves spending her time with. She loves traveling to new places, but the beach is her favorite. Amanda is a sport enthusiast and loves photography.
